Through Sohu’s latest report, Aiways’ latest official pictures and information of the Aiways U6 CYBER PLAY version has been officially released. The new car’s length, width, and height are 4805/1880/1641mm, and the wheelbase is 2800mm. Positioned as a pure electric coupe SUV, the overall shape is sporty and racing style, inspired by the RG Nathalie sports car by Aiways, including a closed X-shaped front face, a three-segment sports waistline, and a penetrating cooling opening below the front surround. As well as the splitters arranged longitudinally on both sides of the front lip, the drag coefficient of the whole vehicle is 0.26. In terms of interior, the Aiways U6 CYBER PLAY version has a simple design and a strong sense of technology.
Background
Aiways, founded by Samuel Fu and Gary Gu in China in 2017, has production and R&D bases in China, Germany and Denmark. Aiways is the first and only Chinese-made car that has been exported to the EU market in large quantities and landed in Israel. Though Aiways was established less than five years ago, they have released several models, including Aiways U5, U6 and U7ion. The whole series is SUV-oriented. Aiways are committed to redefining electric mobility within the premium segment and making it accessible to a broader target group for the first time.
The 8.2-inch instrument display is connected to the 14.6-inch frameless high-definition control screen. In terms of power, Aiways U6 CYBER PLAY is built on the self-developed pure electric MAS platform. It is equipped with an electric drive system with a maximum power of 160kW and a peak torque of 315N m. The acceleration time of 0-100km/h is less than 7s, and the cruising mileage under CLTC conditions can pass 590km. In terms of driver’s assistance systems, the AI-Cruise intelligent driving assistance system is equipped with NRP narrow road assist function, which can assist the vehicle in passing through narrow road sections at a speed of 8km/h. In addition, there is an autonomous parking function within the VRP line-of-sight, NGA High-speed pilot assistance, turn signal control lane change, remote control parking.
Lastly, the car is equipped with a 2.1-square-meter super-large dome-style panoramic roof, Magnat’s high-fidelity audio, and a built-in onboard game centre with Nintendo Famicom nostalgic games.
It is reported that the car is expected to be officially launched in the first quarter of 2022, same as NIO ET5. Stay tuned for further information.
