BYD as a Shenzhen based company to work hard on “carbon peaking and carbon neutrality(CC)”

“Carbon peaking in 2030, carbon neutrality in 2060”, said China President Xi in 2020.

As a first-tier city in China, Shenzhen has always adhered to the concept of green development. As one of the first low-carbon pilot cities in China and a pilot city for carbon emissions trading, Shenzhen will take the lead and play a role model in achieving the “CC”.

As a local high-tech giant in Shenzhen, BYD has strong foundations which provides beneficial conditions of the cooperation between BYD and Shenzhen Airport.

The first electric airport express bus team in China

BYD has cooperated with Shenzhen Bus group since 2011 and made Shenzhen to become the first city in the world to use all electric buses instead of conventional buses . This time BYD helped Shenzhen Airport to establish first electric airport express bus team in China that shows BYD’s ambition on working with the top airports in the world with the long battery life and high safety of BYD’s technologies.

What does it mean to the EV market in China?

According to Reuters, Dongfeng Motor and Honda Motor just invested in building a new dedicated EV production plant in Wuhan, The new plant will also take full utilization of renewable energy such as solar power toward the realization of carbon neutrality. BYD as a company with a lot of experience in transportation, on the road to the “CC”national target, we can expect that the new energy vehicles company will have more cooperation with cities in China in order to achieve the national target.
