China, Jan.17 – BYD (“BYD” or the “Company”, NYSE: BYDDF) currently has eight factories planned, three of which are already in operation and five will be put into operation in 2022, with a planned annual production capacity of 3-3.5 million per year.
Three factories already in operation:
Shenzhen
- Models produced:BYD Han+BYD Tang+BYD E6
- Production capacity:30,000 units per month in 2022
Xian
- Models produced: BYD Qin + BYD Song
- Production capacity: 56,000-60,000 units in 2022.
- Responsible for the development of complete vehicle grinding tools and the production of blade batteries used in hybrid models in the future.
Changsha
- Models produced:BYD Dolphin + BYD Yuan Pro + BYD E2
- Production capacity: 23,000-30,000 units in 2022.
Five factories coming into operation:
Chengzhou
- Time:It will be put into production in January 22
- Models produced:BYD Yuan Plus + BYD Seals + BYD Sea Lions
- Production capacity:20,000 units/month
Fuzhou
- Time:Expected to be put into operation in April 22
- Models produced:Undetermined
- Production capacity:20,000 units/month
Verde battery production plant:
Hefei
- Time:Expected to be put into operation in June 22
- Models produced:Undetermined, but there will be production tasks for auto parts.
- Production capacity:40,000 units/month
Jinan
- Time:Expected to be put into operation in August 22
- Models produced:Undetermined, it is reported that in addition to vehicle manufacturing, the Jinan plant is also responsible for the production of lithium batteries, IGBTs, and other core components of the vehicle.

Zhengzhou
- Time:Expected to be put into operation in October 22
- Models produced:Undetermined, but there will be production tasks for auto parts.

BYD’s sales target for 2022 will reach 1.5 million units, which is almost a doubling of sales compared to 2021, and BYD’s capacity plan will reach 3 million units by 2025 and 5 million units in the medium to long term.
