BYD takes a stake in Gold Stone Energy to expand into heterojunction-related fields in battery making

According to a Chinese large enterprise data technology service company-TianYanCha, Gold Stone (Fujian) Energy Company Ltd has undergone industrial and commercial changes recently, with new shareholders such as BYD Co.

The registered capital increased to about 215 million RMB, an increase of about 12.81%.

The business scope extends to the manufacture of special equipment for semiconductor devices, photovoltaic equipment and components manufacturing, photovoltaic power generation equipment leasing, etc.

What is heterojunction?

A heterojunction is an interface between two layers or regions of dissimilar semiconductors. These semiconducting materials have unequal band gaps as opposed to a homojunction.
