BYD’s sales rocketed

On the evening of November 3, BYD released the October 2021 production and sales flash report, new energy vehicle sales reached 81,000 units, an increase of 249%.

Since this year, BYD’s new energy vehicle sales are rising rapidly, and current sales have surpassed last year’s full year, while BYD’s fuel car sales are declining rapidly, and new energy vehicles are gradually becoming BYD’s auto dominance. A number of brokerage firms pointed out in their research reports that BYD has actively expanded its production capacity since this year to ensure the delivery of orders, and is expected to continue to improve BYD’s profitability as sales steadily climb.

According to the production and sales data disclosed by BYD, in October this year, BYD’s production was 89,000 units, up 87.65% year-on-year; sales were 89,900 units, up 88.42% year-on-year. Among them, the sales of new energy vehicles was 81,000 units, an increase of 249% year-on-year.

From January to October 2021, BYD’s cumulative production was 550,000 units, up 73.70% year-on-year; cumulative sales were 543,000 units, up 71.35% year-on-year. Among them, the cumulative sales of new energy vehicles were 419,000 units, an increase of 212.03% year-on-year.
