On October 28, the 100,000th new vehicle of Li Auto officially rolled off the line from Changzhou base. At the same time, Li ONE also became the first single model of the new car-making force to break through 100,000 units of production.
Data shows that the cumulative sales of Li Auto in the first ten months of this year was 49,891 units. Some analysts say that Li Auto has only one model, which makes it easier to focus on big things.
However, before that, Li Auto lowered its outlook for deliveries in the third quarter of this year due to a less-than-expected recovery in chip supply.
Li Auto co-founder and president Shen Yannan said in response: ” Li ONE achieved 100,000 units of production in only 708 days, marking the market’s full recognition of Li ONE’s product power, and also marking the completion of the verification of Li Auto’s R&D and manufacturing system, sales and service system and supply chain system’s whole chain capability. In the future, we will continue to adhere to the brand mission of ‘creating a mobile home, creating a happy home’ and build Li Auto into the brand of choice for Chinese family cars.”
With the increase of brand influence, Li Auto is also actively laying out a broader market. On the morning of October 16, Li Auto announced the official start of construction of its Beijing Green Intelligent Factory in Shunyi District, Beijing. It is reported that the green intelligent factory will use 60% of the existing factory and renovate it, with an investment of more than 6 billion yuan, and is scheduled to be put into operation by the end of 2023. After production, the first phase will have an annual production capacity of 100,000 units of pure electric vehicles. In addition, a new Industrial Innovation Center and Super Charging Station** will be built to showcase Li Auto’s latest models and product technologies to the public and to provide ultra-fast charging services to customers.
According to Li Auto’s plan, its next new vehicle will be a full-size extended-range electric SUV, which will be developed on a full new-range electric platform, and two other SUVs will be launched on the new platform in 2023. within this year, Li Auto will officially push NOA navigation assistance function to customers through OTA. In terms of direct store layout, Li Auto added 16 direct delivery centers in September. As of September 28, Li Auto has 55 directly-managed delivery centers, covering 53 cities nationwide.
